In an interview, Tyler “Ninja” Blevins recently revealed the reason for his departure from Twitch. His wife and manager, Jessica Blevins, described to Business Insider how Tyler’s Twitch contract didn’t allow him to do much for his brand other than gaming. After achieving his success in the gaming space, Ninja wanted to expand to other areas with brand deals.

Since leaving, Ninja has partnered with Adidas Originals in the sportswear brand’s first entrance into the professional gamer space. He will also have a cameo appearance in the movie Free Guy starring Ryan Reynolds.

While Ninja was paid an eight-to-nine-figure sum for his multiple-year contract with Microsoft’s Mixer, he says that was not a driving factor. Ninja had tried to grow his brand through licensing certain things or starting new collaborations with other sponsors but was rejected by Twitch in spite of multiple appeals. Ninja’s wife and manager also said the Mixer contract was not a “huge pay increase” for him.

Twitch was a toxic environment for Ninja, and he didn’t enjoy the drama along with some of the community while streaming. With Mixer’s strict regulations for community guidelines, things like chat toxicity and other issues are not seen. However, the growth that Mixer has achieved with the addition of Ninja cannot currently be compared to Twitch’s share in the market.

Ultimately, with weekly drama around Twitch’s community, fans can understand the reason why Ninja left the platform in spite of Twitch’s large size. There is no perfect way to enforce certain guidelines and still retain viewers as well. With competitors like Tencent-backed HuYa entering the competition, Twitch will have to make sure issues involving community toxicity and website issues do not turn other streamers away. Banyak gamer yang kini nampak sedang cukup berdebar-debar dalam menantikan kehadiran konsol generasi terbaru seperti PS5 atau mungkin hingga Xbox Scarlett. Dimana sebagian besar dari mereka pastinya sangat begitu mengekspektasikan munculnya suatu pengalaman baru bermain game yang memang bersumber dari keberadaan hardware tersebut. Jika ekspetasimu ini kebetulan lebih berhubungan tentang harapan untuk bisa lebih mengaktualisasikan dirimu ketika bermain, bisa saja kamu mungkin akan semakin tertarik untuk menabung dan membelinya.

Karena dilansir melalui suatu bocoran info yang dikemukakan oleh Gizmodo, baru saja dikabarkan bahwa konsol PS5 rupanya akan memiliki satu fitur yang berkaitan dengan perangkat kamera bawaan. Yang cukup menarik, perangkat tersebut pun kabarnya ingin lebih difokuskan untuk keperluan Streaming.

Dalam arti, konsol PS5 seolah nampak ingin mendorong para gamernya untuk bisa terjun langsung ke dalam dunia pemroduksian konten kreatif, seperti apa yang sudah biasa dilakukan oleh para Streamer dan Youtuber game. Selebihnya, diberitakan pula bahwa konsol PS5 kini punya suatu kode penamaan sementara yang berjudul “Prospero“.

Selain PS5, Gizmodo tak ketinggalan telah menginfokan bila konsol Xbox Scarlett juga memiliki suatu fitur fungsi kamera yang serupa. Hanya saja, spesifikasi perangkat kamera yang dibawa oleh Xbox Scarlett dikabarkan jauh lebih canggih karena bisa mendukung resolusi 4K.

Jika kabar yang diberitakan oleh Gizmodo ini bukanlah sebatas rumor belaka (mengingat bahwa sumber yang mereka dapat sangatlah dirahasiakan), bukan tidak mungkin bila platform-platform berstreaming dengan bantuan perangkat PC yang sudah ada seperti Twitch, maupun Mixer bisa mulai terhantam oleh inovasi berstreaming yang dibawa oleh PS5 dan Xbox Scarlett.

The Tonight Show to feature San Francisco Shock players Super, Sinatraa

The 2019 Overwatch League champions San Francisco Shock are coming to late night. It was announced that two of the team’s players, main tank Matthew “Super” DeLisi and DPS player Jay “Sinatraa” Won, will appear on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon on Oct. 7.

The Tonight Show

Sinatraa first revealed the announcement on Twitter. Sinatraa is the 2019 Overwatch League Most Valuable Player. After the Shock lost to the Atlanta Reign in the Playoffs Quarterfinals, the team decided to practice extra hard. As a result, the team breezed through the losers’ bracket undefeated and won every match with the same 4 – 0 record.

The Shock took home $1.1 million in prize pool earnings and the Overwatch League trophy. With this momentous occasion, the two Overwatch stars will appear on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon to talk about their journey. Other talk show hosts have looked down upon esports, such as Jimmy Kimmel who has repeatedly made fun of gamers and called them losers. However, Jimmy Fallon has instead supported those in the space. This can be seen in a recent episode with Fortnite World Cup winner Kyle “Bugha” Giersdorf, as well as with Tyler “Ninja” Blevins.

Sinatraa and Super

Andy Miller, the Chief Executive Officer of NRG Esports and Owner of the San Francisco Shock, stated they based the team around Sinatraa and Super because they could see their skills and knew Super’s personality would bring the whole team together.

While Super didn’t play in the Grand Finals, he has contributed to the team throughout the season. Both players joined the Overwatch League franchise when they were ineligible to compete because of their age, but this turned out to be a great decision. Miller later emphasized this point at a post-game press conference that he wanted to “[build] a dynasty” with the Shock.
