MiBR player breaks clavicle, fractures wrist and hand in scooter accident

Brazilian esports organization MiBR Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CSGO) player Fernando “fer” Alvarenga revealed that he has injured himself in a scooter accident. In a post on Instagram, the player showed his arm in a sling. He also noted that he had broken his left clavicle, along with fracturing his right wrist and hand.

MiBR fer’s injuries

Fer got his start in playing in Counter-Strike 1.6. He currently plays for MiBR as its entry fragger and has competed under organizations like SK Gaming, Keyd Stars, KaBuM Esports, and more. He posted to Instagram to describe how he had fallen off a scooter while going nearly 70 kilometers per hour. This is equivalent to 43 miles per hour. While the player went to the hospital for treatment, fer still participated in the organization’s matches.

Ricardo Sinigaglia, the manager for MiBR’s CSGO roster, assured fans that fer could still play normally at the pro level. In turn, his statement confirmed that fer would continue playing on the roster. Despite the hand injury in a game that uses both hands, the team still seemingly performed like normal in later games.

New CSGO lineup

With Marcelo “coldzera” David leaving the team for FaZe Clan, Vito “kNgV-” Giuseppe has joined the roster. The new roster has only been together for almost a month. While together, the roster has gone on to place 4th at 2019’s BLAST Pro Series: Moscow and 3 – 4th at Budapest’s V4 Future Sports Festival. However, MiBR did not manage to achieve the same results in their recent match at ECS. The Brazilian team ultimately lost to South African organization ATK, which is only a challenger team.

MiBR is currently one of 12 teams competing in Season 8 of North America’s Esports Championship Series. Fer and the Brazilian organization play their next matches in Season 10 of North America’s ESL Pro League.

Rockstar resmi akan rilis Red Dead Redemption 2 ke PC.

Kabar burung akan kehadiran Red Dead Redemption 2 ke PC sudah bukan sebuah rahasia. Beberapa pertanda yang salah satunya adalah keberadaan Rockstar Game Launcher di mana diawali dengan debut gratisnya Grand Theft Auto San Andreas semakin memperkuat keberadaannya. Benar saja, game koboi yang satu ini benar-benar akan dirilis di PC.

Dalam pengumumannya, Rockstar mengkonfirmasikan bahwa Red Dead Redemption 2 akan dirilis di PC pada tanggal 5 November 2019 mendatang. Gamenya akan hadir di Rockstar Games Launcher terlebih dahulu dan bisa mulai dipre-order tanggal 9 Oktober nanti. Sementara pre-order platform lain seperti Epic Games Store, Green Man Gaming, dan Humble Store akan dimulai pada tanggal 23 Oktober 2019.

Menariknya, Rockstar akan mengundur perilisan versi Steamnya hingga bulan Desember 2019 nanti. Mereka juga berjanji akan menginformasikan detilnya minggu depan. Jadi, sepertinya kita harus menunggunya sedikit lebih lama jika ingin memainkannya di Steam.

The Apex Legends Season 3 meta buffs Bangalore in a big way

The Apex Legends balance evolved a lot with the start of Season 3. From legends to items to mechanics, many things changed. It’s safe to say that even if we were still in Kings Canyon, it would play like a different game. All things considered, one group of players seems to be more blessed by the new meta than anyone else. I am talking about Bangalore mains.

Season 3 gave Bangalore a buff the community has been requesting for a while now. The damage of her ultimate ability, Rolling Thunder, is double what it was. It went from a negligible 20 to a slightly concerning 40. That’s great and all, but it’s not the only buff she got. To be specific, Bangalore’s pre-existing skill set is what automatically makes her stronger in the new Apex Legends meta.

The patch notes state that the Season 3 balance changes aim to “encourage and improve longer range gunfights”. Sniper duels are becoming a bigger part of the meta. This is in part thanks to the Charge Rifle with its tracking beam, plus the Anvil Receiver hop-up. It also doesn’t hurt that the new map is full of wide-open spaces and tall buildings overlooking them.

Bangalore is uniquely anti-sniper by design. Her passive makes her hard to hit at long range. She can also deploy a smokescreen to protect her squad and allow them to re-position safely. Incidentally, her smoke screen gives her perhaps the biggest advantage of all. With it, she can execute finishers with more relative safety than any other legend, with the possible exception of Caustic. And finishers are a valid gameplay mechanic in Season 3, because all legends have the Executioner perk. Finishing a downed legend fully restores your shields, and Bangalore can take full advantage of that.

Will these buffs make Bangalore a contender for competitive Apex Legends play? We can’t say for sure just yet. The current tournament pantheon of Wattson, Pathfinder, and Wraith is hard to break into. But the competitive meta is already being challenged with the inclusion of Crypto and with Respawn alluding to impending Wraith nerfs. Perhaps we will soon see Bangalore climb into the high tiers.
