China rolls out world's largest 5G mobile phone networks

If you've ever wanted to see what downloading a high-resolution movie on your phone in just a second looks like, Wuzhen, where China’s three state-owned wireless carriers will announce the introduction of 5G mobile phone services Thursday, a milestone in the country’s push to become a technology power even as it remains locked in a trade war with the U.S.

China Mobile, China Unicom, and China Telecom have launched 5G services across 50 Chinese cities including Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen.
Huawei, blacklisted by the US, reportedly played a major role in China's 5G rollout. The launch of the network was initially planned for next year but got pulled ahead of schedule by the state-owned carriers.

5G Release Date in China.

The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology will unveil the service debuts at a technology exhibition in Beijing Thursday, a spokesman for the ministry said. China’s three state-owned wireless telecom carriers will launch 5G commercially on 01 November 2019 the Beijing News reported last week.

How Fast is 5G Speed?

5G is the next-generation cellular technology with download speeds stated to be 10 to 100 times faster than the current 4G LTE networks.
Reportedly, download speeds will also vary according to data plans. Subscribers of entry-level packages will get 300Mbps download speeds while higher-end plans will fetch data at 1Gbps.


The entry of 5G means consumers can now get access to superfast speeds as more than 86,000 base stations, covering 50 cities, have already been set up in China.

5G Data Mobile Recharge Plans in China.

China Mobile Ltd., the largest carrier, will start the service at between 128 yuan ($18) & 598 yuan per month, with packages for the heaviest users priced similar to 4G plans.
more than "10 million Subscribers" in China have pre-registered to take the 5G services, will have access to faster videos and games, more virtual reality applications and improved performance for mobile videoconferencing.
