Aleksib not interested in Complexity Gaming’s $1 million offer

It was revealed that Aleksi “Aleksib” Virolainen was not interested in a $1 million offer by Complexity Gaming, according to a report. The benched ENCE in-game leader turned down the offer to join on a two-year contract. There are rumors that Aleksib may be one of the players 100 Thieves is looking into signing as they enter CSGO once again.

Complexity Gaming offer

The report states that Complexity Gaming Chief Executive Officer Jason Lake flew to Helsinki, Finland in an effort to convince Aleksib. The main highlights of the offer included $1 million USD and a luxury housing apartment in exchange for a two-year contract. The offer ended up not being accepted. However, it wasn’t because of the money, but rather because the Finnish CSGO player did not want to move to North America.

With this denial, Lake decided to go down the list and try to recruit another player instead. This player was allegedly Heroic’s in-game leader, Benjamin “blameF” Bremer. The two parties had been in discussions multiple times before the player agreed to join in late September. BlameF had joined Heroic in January of 2019. He helped the roster attain 7 – 8th in Season 9’s ESL Pro League Finals, along with 5 – 6th at Chicago’s Intel Extreme Masters XIV. The Danish player replaces the spot formerly held by Ricardo “Rickeh” Mulholland.

Aleksib’s future

Aleksib started competing in 2015 and has played for organizations like Recursive Esports, SkitLite Gaming, Findictus, ENCE Esports, ENCORE, and HAVU Gaming. While with ENCE, the team placed 2nd at DreamHack Open Montreal, 1st in 2018’s StarSeries & i-League CSGO Season 6, and 1st at DreamHack Open Winter.

During the 2019 season, the Finnish esports organization managed to achieve 2nd at Katowice’s Intel Extreme Masters XIII Major and 1st at BLAST Pro Series: Madrid. The lineup also achieved 2nd at DreamHack Masters Dallas, Chicago’s Intel Extreme Masters XIV, and 5 – 8th at the recent StarLadder Berlin Major. Aleksib was benched after the lackluster performance at the Berlin Major.

Former Epsilon CSGO roster adds Thomas on trial basis

The former Epsilon Esports roster is currently without an organization. However, the European CSGO roster is still active as it searches for a new home. It recently announced it would be replacing Viktor “v1c7oR” Dyankov with Thomas “Thomas” Utting on a trial basis. Dyankov was also a part of the roster previously as a stand-in player.

Thomas “Thomas” Utting

Thomas is a British player who started competing in 2016 on CeX. He later also played under Reason Gaming, Team Endpoint, and most recently NoChance. The NoChance roster, which had players like former FaZe Clan member Mikail “Maikelele” Bill, were signed by SMASH Esports shortly after releasing Thomas.

Most of the events he has recently competed at have not ended well, with bottom half bracket placements on average. Thomas and his team did manage to place 2nd at 2018’s Winter ESL Premiership and 1st at epic LAN 26. However, Thomas will not transition to a permanent position on the former Epsilon Esports roster until he can prove himself.

Ex-Epsilon roster

The former Epsilon roster consists of Kia “Surreal” Man, Joey “CRUC1AL” Steusel, in-game leader Teodor “SPELLAN” Nikolov, Nikola “NK4Y” Radushev, and now Thomas on a trial basis. André “BARBARR” Möller is the coach for the team. Since leaving Epsilon, the team released Rasmus “kreaz” Johansson. It was also later revealed that Helvijs “broky” Saukants had left for a trial role on FaZe Clan.

Some of the team’s recent achievements include 2nd at 2019’s MSI Gaming Arena, losing to Gambit Esports Academy team Gambit Youngsters. The roster is currently at 8th in the Regular Standings of Season 4’s LOOT BET Counter-Strike league. The team is also in 9th with 1 win and 1 loss in Season 32 of Europe’s ESEA Premier Division. The former Epsilon roster will participate in Season 2 of We Play’s Forge of Masters Online Stage.
