Whatsapp for android has finally enabled Fingerprint Unlock Feature it for the Beta users to keep private chats more secure. The latest beta has also available the app to v2.19.221.
As reported by the WABetaInfo, WhatsApp for Android Beta v2.19.221 allows users to try out the fingerprint lock feature before the feature makes a stable release. 

How to enable Whatsapp Fingerprint Unlock feature?

If you’re a beta user then you can head on to Settings > Account > Privacy to enable Fingerprint Unlock Feature. 

The feature will work on Android Marshmallow and above. 

WhatsApp has also added an option to hide message content in notifications preview if the fingerprint unlock is enabled. 

You can choose the time to lock your Whatsapp for Immediately, After 1minute or for After 30 minutes. 
The message content will also be hidden if you’re using WhatsApp widget on the home screen.
